Come dance with
us!
Red Deer’s community for all things swing dance! We offer lessons in a variety of swingin’ styles, including Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Balboa. We also host social dances where you can hit the floor, practice your moves and have fun!
We celebrate jazz music and the roots of swing dance, but we love to dance to all kinds of music.
Whether you join us for lessons or a social dance, you’ll be welcomed by a community that can’t wait to connect with you through dance and music.
Whether you’re here for the music, the movement, or the connections you make on the dance floor, there’s a place for you at Red Aces!
Everyone is welcome! No partner or previous dance experience is needed.
Red Aces Dance Club
A style of swing dance that emerged from the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, New York, in the 1920s. Big band jazz was the music of the era, and Lindy Hop was born! People from all backgrounds came together to light up the dance floor, united by the groove of the music and the joy of movement.
Lindy Hop is built on musicality, improvisation, and a few foundational steps (which we’ll teach you!). It’s also a social dance where everyone is encouraged to dance with everyone. This helps us grow as dancers, learn from one another, and connect with others on the dance floor.
Beyond Lindy Hop, the Red Aces also teach and dance two other swing styles: Charleston and Balboa. Both are great for faster tunes and add even more variety to the way we swing on the dance floor!
